Our New Website and Moving Forward!
Hey everybody, Daetha here to bring you some wonderful news!
We are happy to announce that we are finally launching our new website: gw2attuned.org.
We felt that Enjin was unable to fulfill our needs as best as it could have been. Therefore, we have decided to
switch to a new website designed for us by us (mainly Daetha). This will also allow us to have consistency between
our Teamspeak server and the Website which will make it better for recruiting new members.
Along with our new website, we'll also be launching a series of guides for the new Heart of Thorns map Meta
Events and revamped guides for the events we are currently doing. We've also revamped the application for new
Members, Commanders, and Raid Leaders in order to make our expectations more clear so that we will be able to
recruit the types of players that we are looking for. With the launch of this new website, we are also hoping
to start revisiting our Challenge Night on Wednesdays as well as tackle new speed clear records for a variety
of World Events/Bosses.
If you have an issue with the Website or something weird happens, do not hesitate to contact a Commander/Officer/Leader
so that we can fix it as soon as possible!
New Website and a New Worldboss in the New Year!
Hey everybody, Twilight here!
I just wanted to let everybody know that we're currently in the process of moving over from our enjin site to a new,
custom-made website! Daetha has been promoted to officer in order to manage both the creation process and maintain the
web content day-to-day. We hope to launch sometime mid-to-late March.
In other news, Anet has confirmed an update to the Shatterer coming later this month. Please be prepared to fight
the boss from the moment it is released until we get the (hopefully world's first) kill. As always, the guild will
provide some food and banners, but if there is a specific type of food you would like to test be sure to bring it.
Also, remember to bring Utilities (Sharpening Stones/Tuning Crystals/Oils/Etc.), Consumables (Fire Elemental Powder/
Ogre Pet Whistles/Deployable Mortar Kits/Etc.), and your best gear (Weapons/Armor/Accessories).
Members are highly encouraged to bring classes they are familiar with, and preferably with their Elite Specs completely
See you in game!
Holiday Schedule and new Event Schedule
First off, I would like to say a big Happy Holidays to everyone!
The purpose of this post is to go over the schedule of events for Attuned during the Holiday Season and then to clarify the new Event Schedule format that will be taking over after the first of the year.
With Heart of Thorns out for several months now, we have determined that many people have changed their focus to different things than what we focused on before Heart of Thorns dropped. Even though the content is in full swing, many members have different obligations throughout this Holiday Season. As such, the events on the 23rd, 24th, 26th and the 31st have been cancelled. We will still be holding Guild Missions on the 21st and the 28th. The 30th is an open event day where we will gauge the interest in the guild for an event, and then go if there is enough people present and willing to go. However, the first official event after the Holiday Season will be on the 2nd of January, 2016.
Now for the bigger part of the update. As I mentioned above, Heart of Thorns has been active for several months now, and people have shifted their priorities in game quite a bit. With raids now a thing, and map metas being a large portion of content required for the new legendaries, we need to shift to accomodate the changes in the game. We have already started doing so by including the new map metas in some of the things we do. However, we do not want to forsake content that was already in the game. As well, we do not want to ignore a large part of what birthed Attuned and helped it grow over the past two years. To do that, we have changed the scheduling of events that you can learn more about here.
The focus for each week will be updated in that week's MOTD, so if you are ever wondering what events will be going on for the week, check the MOTD. We're looking into the possibility of having a calendar for the event schedule if that is an issue.
With the new schedule, the first event we will be doing after the Holiday Break will be Triple Trouble Wurm on the 2nd. Hope to see everyone there!
As you may have heard, a small group of players from the guild has been invited by ArenaNet to help them test raid content before it gets released. Those who are involved are under nondisclosure agreements regarding both their involvement and the content that they have access to. Our guild policy is to not discuss the testing. Please avoid asking people if they are testers, asking about the selection process, asking for details about unreleased content, or discussing who is a tester. If someone from outside the guild asks about the testing, you can tell them that that a small group in the guild is indeed involved but that you don't know and can't say any more. Please don't make anything up or pretend that you know things that you don't. The guild has no additional information to share beyond what was in ArenaNet's announcement.
Edit: Please do not engage in the official forum thread or the reddit thread announcing the guild's involvement. Anet doesn't need the additional heat generated by guildies posting.
Raid Leader Applications!
The new Raid Leader application form is up now for those of our members who are interested in a Raid Leader position. As a reminder, you need to be Paragon or Legacy rank (at the moment) in good standing to apply. The form can be found at:
More about Raids!
In case Red did not make it clear enough, we will be actively pursuing world's firsts with the new raid content with HoT. We will also continue to do large-scale open world encounters (with all of the records and accolades we have), but we certainly wish to push forwards with raids.
Unfortunately, there have been a few members of the guild who do not believe in the direction we will be taking with raids and have left to form their own hardcore raiding guild. They were more than welcome to stay, and some of them have, but others have left completely. We wish them the best of luck, and they are more than welcome to continue to run with us.
We have, unfortunately, heard that Trad has been trying to actively recruit from our member base. While everyone is more than welcome to do as they please, we see this as Trad breaking the agreement that he made in order to rejoin the guild and so he has permanently been kicked. He was told that he was not to go around whispering people to undermine the authority of the guild, and we believe his intent to "poach" players is exactly that.
As I said before, we have no issue with people wanting to be in both guilds. Att is not a 100% rep guild and will never be. We want to continue to have an active community, but we feel that representation is something that you get by being a fun, safe place to be rather than demanding it. We have a very large community, and we want to make sure that everyone can pursue what they want within it. We will be having many raid groups, with raid leaders restricted to paragon/legacy or above, and applications for leading such groups coming soon. We will have hardcore progression groups, theory crafting groups, teaching groups, etc. Everyone who wants to raid and is willing to listen will get to raid. Raid groups are only 10-person, so we are confident in our ability to offer many different group dynamics.
I hope that we all continue to get along and be the amazing group that I have seen us be.
